    Your daily dose of exercise in a pill box!!

    We know that we need to exercise to stay healthy, more so in this age when so many of us sit for hours in front of the computer, on the couch, in the car. And most of the time, that leaves us with little time to no time or so we tell ourselves.

    Don’t get too excited though. According to the scientists, the goal is to “… learn to modulate this exercise pathway for therapeutic interventions.”

    “For example, older or frail people who cannot exercise enough, may one day benefit from taking a medication that can help slow down osteoporosis, heart disease or other conditions,” explains Jonathan Long, MD, assistant professor of pathology at Stanford Medicine and an Institute Scholar of Stanford ChEM-H (Chemistry, Engineering & Medicine for Human Health).

    So that leaves us with finding the time to exercise while we can, to stay healthy.
