Party Hard But Not At The Expense Of Sleep

It may be Party Season but don’t sacrifice your sleep!

It is well known that a good night’s sleep is essential for your overall well-being. Unfortunately, many of us do not get the recommended 7-9 hours of sleep each night and may be at risk for an array of severe and chronic health conditions if we sleep 5 hours or less.

Studies have shown that those who get inadequate sleep are at increased risk for various physical and mental health issues. This includes an increased risk for obesity, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and depression.

Poor sleep is also linked to a weakened immune system, memory problems, and decreased performance at work or school. In addition to the physical and mental health risks, people who sleep too little may also experience an increased risk of accidents and injury due to impaired judgment and reaction time.

So play hard but also practice good sleep hygiene and get at least 7 – 8 hours of sleep every night 😴
