    This day is celebrated to encourage activity. It is reported that only one in three adults get the recommended amount of physical activity, while four in five adolescents are insufficiently active. This has led to an increase in chronic diseases such as obesity, heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes.

    30 minutes of cumulative moderate physical activity every day, that’s all we need. That means it doesn’t have to be all in one go. 3 10-minute brisk walks will do the trick. Be creative and have fun!

    In support of MOVE FOR HEALTH DAY, the World Health Organization is encouraging everyone to get up and get moving for at least 30 minutes a day. Just a moderate amount of physical activity can have a significant impact on your health, so find ways to move that that are easy for you to squeeze into your day.

    Remember, every little bit counts!
