    Bone Health

It is common knowledge that exercise is essential for a healthy body and strong bones.

However, not all exercises are the same. A recent study recommends weightlifting, jumping events, running and walking for bone health. Each physical activity is associated with corresponding ground reaction forces to promote bone remodelling.

Studies have provided evidence for the benefits of physical activity during adolescence for healthier bones later in life. Laurence Vico, PhD, French National Institute of Health and Medical Research, suggests that the prepuberty and early stages of puberty are the optimal times to maximise peak bone mass.

Still, it is never too late to start, so make exercising regularly an integral part of your lifestyle for long-term health benefits.
